DESCRIPTION DU VÉHICULE

Phaéton Workshop, spécialiste des véhicules plaisir, youngtimers et de collection, vous propose cette rare Lotus Elan S2 Turbo (M100), une sportive atypique et attachante, représentant la dernière Lotus de série à traction avant.

Beaucoup considèrent l’Elan M100 comme une hérésie… Traction au lieu de propulsion, design éloigné de la première du nom, moteur Isuzu, et prise de contrôle récente de Lotus par GM au moment de son lancement.
Pourtant, cette petite Elan n’est pas celle que vous croyez. Vilain petit canard ? Elle était pourtant fiable et performante, d’autant que la traction à ce niveau de puissance, lui offrait des qualités routières certes moins joueuses mais plus précises et surtout plus accessibles. Et c’était d’ailleurs l’objectif de cette Elan deuxième mouture : conquérir une nouvelle clientèle.

Produite en série limitée à environ 800 exemplaires, cette Elan S2 se distingue par son châssis remarquable, sa direction ultra précise et son moteur turbo Isuzu réputé pour sa robustesse.

Sous son capot, on retrouve le 4 cylindres 1.6 Turbo 16v développant 155ch, associé à une boîte manuelle 5 rapports. Avec son poids contenu, l’Elan offre un comportement particulièrement efficace, précis et joueur.
